The California Police Athletic Federation, a non-profit dedicated to promoting fitness and camaraderie among first responders, announces the 2025 United States Police & Fire Championships.

Now in its 58th year, the multi-sport event returns to San Diego from Saturday, May 31 to Saturday, June 7. The Marriott San Diego Mission Valley will serve as the host hotel, welcoming athletes and hosting many top competitions.

Featuring more than 35 Olympic-style events—from basketball and soccer to swimming, CrossFit, and track and field—the USPFC brings together thousands of first responders from across the nation. Law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMTs, dispatchers, lifeguards, and other emergency personnel compete in contests that showcase athletic excellence and community pride.

“The US Police and Fire Championships celebrate the unwavering dedication of our nation’s first responders while promoting wellness, teamwork, and friendly competition,” said James King, president of CPAF.

This year also marks the return of the USPFC Gold Medalist Campaign. Athletes who win gold at the 2024 or 2025 Championships and register for the 2025 World Police & Fire Games in Birmingham, Ala. (June 27–July 6) will receive exclusive perks—including the honor of wearing Team USA Gold Medalist shirts during the WPFG Parade of Athletes.

The USPFC is one of three major events hosted by CPAF, alongside the biennial World Police & Fire Games and the First Responders Relay. To learn more or sign up, visit www.cpaf.org.
