
After being ranked No. 10 in the Mid-Major Top 25 college basketball poll, the UC San Diego men’s basketball team jumped up to No. 7 in the latest rankings. This is the Tritons highest ranking since transitioning to Division l.
Gonzaga claimed the top spot with 30 first place votes, and the only other first place vote went to UC San Diego.
The Tritons are coming off a 39 point road victory over Cal State Fullerton on Saturday, their largest margin of victory in a Big West Game. The win was the 11th in a row for UC San Diego.
On top of all that, the Tritons received a vote in the USA Today Top 25 Coaches Poll for the first time in program history.
UC San Diego will aim for 12 wins in a row when they welcome Cal Poly to LionTree Arena on Thursday at 7 p.m.
