
Hideki Matsuyama, the 2021 Masters champion, along with defending champion Matthieu Pavon, are among golf’s stars who’ve committed for the 2025 Farmers Insurance Open.
The PGA Tour stop, set to begin Jan. 22 at Torrey Pines Golf Course, currently includes 10 players in the top 50 of the Official World Golf Ranking – Matsuyama is ranked No. 6 – six major championship winners and five past winners of the open.
Matthieu Pavon held on during the final day of the Farmers Insurance Open last year to take the title, marking the first time a French player has won on the PGA Tour.
Among the other notable early commitments for the tournament:
- Jason Day – 2015 PGA Championship winner, two-time Farmers Insurance Open winner (2015 and 2018), World No. 36.
- Luke List – 2022 Farmers Insurance Open winner, two-time PGA TOUR winner.
- Shane Lowry – 2019 Open Championship winner, three-time PGA TOUR winner.
- Francesco Molinari – 2018 Open Championship winner, three-time PGA TOUR winner.
- Justin Rose – 2013 U.S. Open winner, 2019 Farmers Insurance Open winner, 11-time PGA TOUR winner, World No. 46.
- Nick Watney – 2009 Farmers Insurance Open winner, five-time PGA TOUR winner.
- Gary Woodland – 2019 U.S. Open winner, four-time PGA TOUR winner.
The field will be finalized Jan. 17.
Grounds tickets remain available for all four days of the open, which concludes Jan. 25, with limited VIP packages and Canyon Club admission remaining on three days.
