There are few sports worldwide brands. The Los Angeles Lakers. The New York Yankees. And Manchester United.

Fans in San Diego can discover the rich history of the English soccer giant by viewing the Red Room Experience, an exhibit and memorabilia collection related to Manchester United.

It stops at the San Diego Marriott Del Mar Monday and Tuesday and will be open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days.

The exhibit coincides with the second stop on Manchester United Tour 23, as the squad plays Wrexham AFC at Snapdragon Stadium at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

A youth-focused team drawn from Manchester United’s traveling tour squad supplemented by academy prospects will appear, as part of a week-long training camp in San Diego.

Tickets remain available for the game and start at $75.

Another novelty connected to the match: Fans are invited to ride to the stadium or around town in branded English-style taxis taking off from three taxi stands around the region.

Find them at the San Diego Marriott Del Mar, San Diego Marriott Gaslamp Quarter and Liberty Call Distilling Company in Barrio Logan, home of the Red Devils of San Diego, an Official Manchester United Supporters Club.

Rides are available on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at 5:45 p.m. Monday and continuing from 1 to 3 p.m. and 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.

As for Wrexham, this will be the first time the club travels to the U.S., following the purchase of the team by actors Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds in 2020, and the debut of the television series documenting the team, “Welcome to Wrexham.”
