The top-seeded San Diego Sockers continue the defense of their 2021 Ron Newman Cup championship on the road Monday against the No. 4 Chihuahua Savage.
The semifinal game begins at 6:35 p.m. in Mexico. The Sockers host the closing leg of the semifinals, with Game 2 set for 5:05 p.m. April 24 at Pechanga Arena.
The Sockers eliminated No. 8 Milwaukee in their quarterfinal series on Sunday. They swept the Wave thanks to 9-2 and 9-3 wins.
San Diego completed an undefeated regular season, at 23-0-1, while Chihuahua compiled a 15-7-2 record. The Savage, down 1-0 in their quarterfinal series against Baltimore, took the next two games to prevail and move on.
In the other MASL semifinal matchup, No. 3 Kansas City faces off with No. 2 Florida, starting Saturday.
