New Los Angeles County public health guidelines will affect San Diego State football fans during their trips to Carson for home games at Dignity Health Sports Park.
The latest order, released this week, requires all guests ages 12 and older to provide either a photo identification with matching proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or photo identification with matching negative COVID-19 test results.
The negative tests must come within 72 hours of kickoff time in order to enter the stadium.
Guests under the age of 12 are not required to provide a negative COVID-19 test but, like all attendees, must wear masks except when actively eating or drinking.
The requirements are effective immediately. SDSU, after a bye this weekend, plays its next home game Saturday against New Mexico.
Given the available vaccination and testing options, athletic officials said, refunds for tickets and parking will not be offered. Guests who are unable or unwilling to meet any of the requirements have the option of transferring or reselling their tickets and parking passes.
The Aztecs, at 4-0, begin Mountain West play Saturday. They have four remaining home games. SDSU is playing in Carson while stadium construction continues in Mission Valley.
