The Padres return home Thursday to celebrate a milestone – Petco Park’s return to 100% capacity – with music, a flyover, fireworks and more.

Officials say they will mark the 5:40 p.m. game, against the Cincinnati Reds, “with all the pageantry of San Diego’s Opening Day.”

Festivities will include a pre-game DJ on the Sycuan Stage in Gallagher Square, a presentation of the American flag with over 250 active-duty service members, a military flyover, on-field lineup introductions and a post-game fireworks show.

The Padres and Petco also will honor local frontline heroes who have worked throughout the pandemic.

On Friday, there will be a Party in the Park, including a BeerFest, WineFest, CocktailFest, from 5 to 7 p.m. with drink specials and live entertainment. Every Friday home game will feature either a Party in the Park or a Fiesta in the Park.

The fun continues throughout the weekend, with a giveaway and a Father’s Day celebration.

On Saturday, fans will receive a Padres Aloha Shirt. On Sunday, KidsFest returns before the game in Gallagher Square, as well as Youth Baseball and Softball Day, and a post-game catch on the field with Dad (pre-registration required).

Sundays also will continue to serve as Military Appreciation Days, with discounted tickets for all veteran and active-duty members and their families. Tuesdays will be set aside as First Responder Appreciation Days with discounted tickets for first responders and their families.

Upcoming season giveaways include a Fernando Tatis Jr. bobblehead, a hoodie and Padres backpack.

New to the promotional lineup this season are two dates featuring all-kid giveaways, for children 14 and younger, that include a Tatis arm sleeve and kids backpack.

The complete list of giveaways can be found online.

The Padres have operated at 33% capacity since April due to pandemic public health restrictions.

Enhanced health and safety measures will remain in place, including regular thorough cleaning by the Petco Park Clean Team, touchless soap, towel and hand sanitizer stations, and UV light handrails on escalators throughout the ballpark.
