San Diego State University welcomes crosstown rival UC San Diego to the SDSU Sports Deck for a men’s soccer exhibition at 7 p.m. Saturday.
Fans can enjoy the match free, though parking permits are required.
The Tritons will be led by captains Kelvin Uribe, Jonathan Stoop, Brett Jones and Pedro Enciso. Aztec Pablo Pelaez was named to the Pac-12 preseason All-Conference Team and is joined by eight starters from last year.
It’s UCSD’s first exhibition of the season.
The Aztecs lost 3-1 to UC Irvine on Monday in their first friendly. SDSU freshman Hunter George scored, which tied the match at 1-1, but the Anteaters quickly retook the lead. Irvine added an insurance goal to seal the victory.
