Kyle Buchanan scored with two seconds left in the third quarter to break a tie and the San Diego Seals scored the next two goals in a 13-10 victory over the Vancouver Warriors in a National Lacrosse League game Saturday evening at Pechanga Arena San Diego.

Buchanan scored a game-high five goals, including an empty-net goal with 35 seconds to play, while Austin Staats added four for the Seals (5-4) before a crowd announced at 9,117.

The Seals led 7-4 at halftime with Buchanan scoring twice in the second quarter, with his second goal coming with seven seconds before halftime.

Buchanan scored the first goal of the second half, but the Warriors (3- 8) scored the next three, with Mitch Jones scoring the final two, cutting the lead to 8-7. Back-to-back goals by Jones and Keegan Bal tied the score, 9- 9, with 4:22 left in the third quarter.

The Seals led 2-0 at the end of the first quarter with Casey Jackson scoring both goals.

The Seals led in shots, 59-49. Seals goaltender Frank Scigliano made 49 saves. Vancouver goaltender Aaron Bold made 46 saves.

The Seals scored on four of six power-play opportunities, the Warriors three of five.

Dan Dawson and Garrett McIntosh each scored once for the Seals.

Jones and Jordan McBride each scored four times for Vancouver, and Bal and Jean-Luc Chetner one each.

The Seals will next play Friday at Colorado. Their next home game will be March 16 against Philadelphia.
