The U.S. women’s soccer team will open its 2018 schedule in San Diego against Denmark, the U.S. Soccer Federation announced Tuesday.
The match will be played Jan. 21 at SDCCU Stadium. It will be the third straight year the U.S. women have played in San Diego.
Denmark finished second in last year’s European tournament, winning four contests before falling to The Netherlands in the final. The Danes defeated the U.S. the last time the two nations met, by a 5-3 score in 2014.
Tickets will go on sale to the public on Friday at 10 a.m. Pacific Time via ussoccer.com, or by phone at (800) 745-3000. Tickets will not be sold at SDCCU Stadium except on the day of the event.
