The San Diego Gulls were victorious once again with their seventh win in the last eight games against the Ontario Reign, with a 4-1 win on Friday night.

Jhonas Enroth stopped 26 of 27 shots and Jaycob Megna, Jordan Samuels-Thomas and Ryan Garbutt scored third-period goals as the San Diego Gulls kept winning with a 4-1 victory over the Ontario Reign team in Ontario.
Megna’s wrist shot past Ontario goaltender Jack Campbell for his third goal of the season, which gave the Gulls a 2-0 lead with 11 minutes, 28 seconds to play.
The Reign (24-11-8-0) cut the lead to 2-1 on Jonny Brodzinski’s power-play goal off the rebound of a shot by Tom Gilbert with 5:29 left. Gulls center Kyle MacKinnon opened the scoring 14:12 into the first period by knocking in the rebound of a shot by Zac Larraza for his first goal of the season.
The game was the Gulls first since their six-game winning streak and team-record 12-game streak with a standings point ended with a 2-1 loss to the Pacific Division-leading San Jose Barracuda Wednesday in San Jose.
Enroth made nine saves in both the first and third periods and eight in the second before a crowd at Citizens Business Bank Arena announced at 8,858. Enroth has a 9-1-0-0 record, a 1.2 goals against average and .954 save percentage since being loaned to the Gulls by their NHL parent team, the Anaheim Ducks, on Jan. 10, the same day they acquired him from the Toronto Maple Leafs in exchange for a seventh-round choice in the 2018 draft.
Campbell made 34 saves, including 14 in the second period and 15 in the third. Ontario, the Los Angeles Kings American Hockey League affiliate, scored on its lone power-play opportunity and killed both of the Gulls power-play opportunities.
The Gulls next play Sunday at Valley View Casino Center against the Bakersfield Condors, the Edmonton Oilers AHL affiliate.
