SDSU Men’s Basketball was one of eight teams announced to be invited to the 2018 Maui Jim Maui Invitational, tournament chairman David Odom announced Wednesday.
The Aztecs are on the list prestigious basketball schools invited, joining Arizona, Auburn, Duke, Gonzaga, Illinois, Xavier and Iowa State.
It’s the fourth time SDSU will have played at the invitational. They last played in Hawaii in 2014, where they lost to Arizona by two points in the finals.
Before that, they visited the Sunshine State for the tourney in 1989, and then again in 2003.
The tournament takes place from Nov. 19-21, with all matches being broadcast on ESPN networks.
