San Diego State named its new Athletic Director Monday, announcing that John David Wicker is to take over the role.
It isn’t the first time Wicker has worked within the confines of the Mesa; he was the Deputy Athletic Director starting in 2011 before going to Georgia Tech in 2015.
He previously served as the Associate Atheltic Director for Event and Facility Operations at Washington State for 10 years.
Wicker takes over after Jim Sterk, SDSU’s previous AD resigned prior to this school year. He’s set to start in a little over a month, on Nov. 28th.
