The ACL injury bug struck the San Diego Chargers once again after Nick Dzunbar was placed on the injured-reserve list.
Dzunbar is the fourth player this season to be placed on the list with an ACL injury as he joins Keenan Allen, Danny Woodhead and Jason Verret. He continues the unfortunate trend of the Bolts placing a player on IR after every week thus far.
The reserve linebacker and special teamer didn’t play last week against the Radiers. He hurt his knee on a non-contact play in week four against the Saints after spraining the same knee in week one.
He’s going to undergo season-ending knee surgery similar to that of Verret. He initially hoped for the swelling in his knee to reduce but it never did.
