Kurt Nagel, a defensive back for the San Diego Enforcers and a Border Patrol agent, was seriously injured during a game last Saturday night.

The San Diego Enforcers are a member of the National Public Safety Football League, a league made up of police officers, border patrol agents, etc.

Nagel suffered a spinal chord injury during the Enforcer’s annual ‘Salute to Service’ game, where they face off against the Marine Corps and raise money for a veteran-based charity.

After undergoing two surgeries since the injury, Nagel is still in serious condition, although as of Wednesday afternoon he is no longer in need of breathing tubes.

The Enforcers have set up a GoFundme page, which you can access here, to help Nagel’s family, including his wife and three children, with medical costs.

The Enforcers won the NPSFL titile in 2012, and have won the Western division championship each of the last two years.
