There will be many new coaches on the sidelines for the San Diego Chargers next season, but the team rounded out its coaching staff Tuesday by naming a new offensive assistant and special teams assistant.

Former Notre Dame quarterback Tommy Rees was named an offensive assistant and Marquice Williams was named a special teams assistant.

Rees, 23, was a quarterback for Notre Dame from 2010-13 and played with current Chargers Manti Te’o, Chris Watt and Trevor Robinson in his time with the Fighting Irish.

He was signed for a brief period by the Washington Redskins in 2014 and then served as a graduate assistant for Northwestern last year.

Williams has spent the last four seasons as a coach for South Dakota. Williams has also had coaching stints with the Chicago Bears and Detroit Lions as well.

The team cleaned house after going 4-12 last season and Rees and Williams are just two of a handful of new coaches the Chargers have added to the roster.
