After suffering two concussions in a six-day span back in late November, San Diego Chargers right guard D.J. Fluker returned to practice Wednesday.

It was the first on-field action for Fluker since suffering a concussion on Nov. 22 against the Kansas City Chiefs just five days after suffering a concussion in practice.

Fluker told ESPN the second concussion was the worst one he’s had in his career.

“I love football,” he said to ESPN. “I can play through any injuries when I’m hurt, but playing with my brain, that’s a whole different subject.”

Fluker was a full participant in Wednesday practice and is on track to play in the team’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs this Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium.

Injuries have plagued Fluker this season like many players on the Chargers.

He missed Week 2 due to an ankle injury and then missed two more because of the concussions.
