The San Diego Chargers will don pink equipment, use game balls with pink ribbon decals and pink kicking tees during Monday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers at Qualcomm Stadium in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Kickoff is at 5:30 p.m., which coincides with Monday’s peak afternoon commute, so fans are advised to allow extra time to arrive and park.

The Metropolitan Transit System will increase the number of Green Line trains that provide direct service to Qualcomm Stadium beginning at 1:30 p.m., with trains running every 7 ½ minutes.

During the nationally televised game, the Chargers will recognize 40 breast cancer survivors on the field during pregame activities. The women will form a pink ribbon for a check presentation, then remain on the field for the national anthem.

Zeta Tau Alpha sorority members will provide pink ribbons and information cards at the gates, with 120 sorority members carrying the flag, a giant pink ribbon and stars during the national anthem.

Breast cancer survivors will accompany Kelly Laveque’s halftime performance.
