The outlook is bleak for the line as starting left tackle King Dunlap (concussion) and left guard Orlando Franklin (ankle) are both listed as out for the team’s Week 4 home matchup against the Cleveland Browns and starting center Chris Watt is listed as doubtful.
Fans can expect a similar look this week, as those players are all expected to play this week and are atop the depth chart with all the injuries.
The Chargers are expected to get some relief in the secondary, though, as Brandon Flowers — who was inactive last week — was listed as probable and was a full participant in Friday’s practice.
His counterpart, Jason Verrett, is questionable with a foot injury and has been a limited participant in practice the last two days.
Back to the offensive side of the ball, the team is expected to have tight end Ladarius Green back in the lineup after suffering a concussion last week. He’s listed as questionable and was a full participant in Friday’s practice.
The team will still be without wide receiver Jacoby Jones, though, who will be inactive for the third straight week due to an ankle injury.
