The Cal State San Marcos men’s basketball team released its 2015-16 schedule Tuesday as it enters its first season in NCAA Division II competition in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA).

The Cougars will open their season with an exhibition against cross-town opponent San Diego State at Viejas Arena on Nov. 2. It will be the fourth meeting between the two teams.

CSUSM’s home opener will be on Saturday Nov. 21 at MiraCosta College against San Diego Christian. The Cougars will play all 15 of their home games at MiraCosta College this season.

It will be the last season they play there as they are scheduled to move into the Sports Center for the 2016-17 season.

The season opener for the Cougars will come on Nov. 18 at Concordia (Calif.).

The Cougars’ 20-game conference schedule will begin on Dec. 3 against Humboldt State, and will end on Feb. 27 against Cal Poly Pomona.

Some highlights on the Cougars’ schedule include their Homecoming Game on Dec. 5 against Sonoma State and a trip to Hawaii over Thanksgiving break when they will play BYU Hawaii (Nov. 27) and Chaminade (Nov. 28).
