As a senior last season, Perryman (6-feet-0, 236 pounds) was a third-team All-American, collecting 9 1/2 tackles for a loss, two sacks and 79 total tackles, which was ninth best in the country.
He was also a first-team All-ACC selection both in 2013 and 2014.
Perryman will be expected to shore up a middle linebacker group that was led by Donald Butler and Manti Teo last year.
