The San Diego State University basketball player who collapsed on the court Monday night was released from a hospital Thursday, a university official said.
Senior forward Dwayne Polee II has been released from the hospital and is home resting pending results of a series of tests he took Tuesday, NBC 7 San Diego reported.
“Polee can resume normal activities, but has not been cleared for basketball,” SDSU spokesman Mike May said.
Polee collapsed midway through the first half of the Aztecs game against UC Riverside game Monday night. He was tended by trainers and a paramedic for about 15 minutes before being wheeled off the court on a gurney.
He was conscious and acknowledged the crowd by pumping his fists as well as fist-bumping his teammates.
The Aztecs are off until Friday, when they practice for a home game Saturday against San Diego Christian College.
