The San Diego Chargers issued their official week seven injury report on Friday, and like most games this season, their list outstretches that of the opponent, this week it’s the Kansas City Chiefs.
Kansas City is coming off its bye week, so its injury report is as short as it has been all year with six players listed.
Some names to watch who will be game-time decisions will be Brandon Flowers, Dwight Freeney, and Jason Verrett, all of whom played last week against Oakland.
Good news for Chargers fans is that starting corner Shareece Wright, who missed the last two games, will be back in action this Sunday. Also returning to action will be linebacker Reggie Walker who has missed the last three games. His return is especially important if starter, Freeney, is not able to play.
Ryan Mathews and Manti Te’o continue to nurse respective injuries that occurred earlier in the season and will not play this Sunday. Donald Brown is also out, for the second straight week, after getting a concussion against the Jets. In his place rookie Branden Oliver will again get the start.
After missing two weeks, rookie linebacker Jeremiah Attaochu returned to action last weekend against the Raiders. However, he reaggrivated the hamstring injury that has plagued his rookie season, and is not expected to play after not practicing at all week.
