The San Diego State Aztecs (2-3, 1-1 Mountain West Conference) will face off against the New Mexico Lobos (2-3, 0-1 Mountain West) Friday at Branch Field in Albuquerque, N.M.
This game has an extra meaning for SDSU coach Rocky Long, who not only played quarterback for New Mexico from 1969-71 but also coached the team from 1997-2008, compiling a 65-69 record.
UT San Diego’s sports reporter Tod Leonard tweeted Monday that senior quarterback Quinn Kaehler will miss his second straight game and true freshman Nick Bawden will make his second career start.

Bawden threw for 84 yards last week with a touchdown and two interceptions in a 24-13 loss to Fresno State.
Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. and the game is televised on ESPNU and broadcast on The Mighty 1090.
