Whether you want to head out to cheer on the runners taking part in the Rock ‘n‘ Roll Marathon Sunday – or if you want to steer clear of the street closures, let the full course map be your guide.

But here’s the overview:

Runners will start at 6:15 a.m. from Park West and head through Hillcrest, then take Park Boulevard to downtown, where runners will head west past Petco Park and back north along Kettner Boulevard and India Street.

They’ll work their way all the way through Old Town through Bay Park and turn back at Clairemont, running along Mission Bay through Mission Valley on Friars Road to state Route 163 through Hillcrest on the way to Pershing Drive to the finish line just east of Petco.

The half marathon starts at the same place, but heads east, through University Heights, Normal Heights and North Park, mainly along University Avenue, El Cajon Boulevard and Adams Avenue, before also heading down Pershing to the finish.

Streets will be closed and traffic re-directed for the tens of thousands of runners, so plan ahead.
