The San Diego Chargers announced their preseason schedule Wednesday and noted a unique aspect – they will meet up with three teams they also will face in the regular season.
The team will open at home against the Dallas Cowboys, then hit the road to meet the Super-Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers before coming back to Qualcomm Stadium to pla y the Arizona Cardinals.
The dates are TBD, except for the 49ers game, which will be broadcast nationally on FOX Sports at 1 p.m. Aug. 24. The team also will get the chance for its first glimpse of the 49ers new home, Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara.
The Chargers beat the Cowboys last year in the regular season 31-20. They beat the Cardinals in the preseason last year, but fell to the 49ers and the Seahawks.
