Phil’s BBQ announced Monday that the popular eatery will add a second location in Petco Park in time for the Padres season opener on March 30.

Phil’s will retain its original kiosk location to serve fans in the Park at the Park area, but will add a second location in the main concourse complete with a grill, seating area and additional menu items. The new location will be in section 113 on the first base side of the park.

“We’re excited to expand our partnership with the Padres organization and be able to offer more of a true Phil’s BBQ experience within Petco Park,” said Phil’s BBQ owner Phil Pace.” We think fans will enjoy the more traditional restaurant feel and menu items they’re accustomed to when they think of Phil’s.”

Last year, Phil’s BBQ and the Padres were named “Stadium Food King” by USA Today sports. The online newspaper held a social media challenge to find the best ballpark food in America, and Phil’s BBQ El Toro tri-tip sandwich was named the national winner.

Phil’s BBQ will continue to offer fans the El Toro tri-tip sandwich, Broham pulled pork sandwich and baby back ribs with a side of cole slaw at the kiosk location. The near eatery in the main concourse eatery will also serve Phil’s chick tickler, baby back rib tickler, and add onion rings, fries and macaroni salad as side options.
