
Mayor Todd Gloria has announced dozens of appointments to key roles on the city of San Diego’s boards and commissions.
The appointments last Friday include a number of new and returning members who come from a wide range of professional backgrounds, leadership experience and neighborhoods across San Diego County.
With City Council approval, Gloria confirmed 42 individuals who will serve across 13 different boards and commissions that oversee critical aspects of city policy, public services and community development.
According to a news release, the number of new members joining each department is as follows:
- Historic Resources Board – 7 members
- Citizens Equal Opportunity Commission – 1 member
- Consolidated Plan Advisory Board – 1 member
- Board of Library Commissioners – 2 members
- Parks and Recreation Board – 4 members
- International Affairs Board – 10 members
- Balboa Park Committee – 7 members
- Civil Service Commission – 1 member
- Commission on the Status of Women – 4 members
- Resiliency Advisory Board – 2 members
- Human Relations Commission – 1 member
- Small Business Advisory Board – 1 member
- Airports Advisory Committee – 1 member
