Mayor Todd Gloria Thursday will sign a City Council resolution declaring the city of San Diego’s support for Proposition 1.
The measure, which is on the Nov. 8 general election ballot, would amend the California Constitution to include an individual’s right to reproductive choice. Including the right to choose to have an abortion and the right to choose or refuse contraceptives.
The City Council passed the resolution earlier this month. Gloria will have a news conference and sign the resolution at 8 a.m. in front of the Planned Parenthood located at 1075 Camino Del Rio South with Planned Parenthood President Darrah Johnson and five City Council members representing districts 1, 2, 3, 5 and 7.
