San Diego State University released to the public Monday a draft environmental impact report for the proposed redevelopment of the former Qualcomm Stadium site.

The project includes the construction of a new 35,000-seat stadium to be primarily used by the university’s football team, a satellite campus, a river park and commercial and residential space.

The report identifies the likely environmental impacts of a proposed project and recommends measures to address those impacts.

The report will be available for public review online for 60 days through Oct. 3.

The university will also host three public meetings, two on Sept. 12 on the campus, and one on Sept. 24 in Mission Valley.

A final environmental impact report is expected to be presented to the California State University board of trustees for approval in early 2020.
