County Supervisor Greg Cox and community leaders will unveil a giant banner from the top of the County Administration Center, 1600 Pacific Highway, San Diego, as part of the year-long celebration for San Diego’s 250th anniversary on Monday, July 1, at 1:30 p.m.
The banner is 20 feet wide and 48 feet long and it will remain atop the County Center through Aug. 15.
2019 is the 250th anniversary of San Diego and the milestone is being celebrated throughout the year. The San Diego 250 initiative is a community-driven effort to create historical and educational opportunities to reflect on the city’s history and leave behind a legacy for the future. The initiative also celebrates the creation of San Diego as the first city and first port in California.
