City Council candidates Antonio Martinez and Vivian Moreno will discusses issues with District 8 residents at a community forum on Thursday.
The forum, put together by the San Diego Organizing Project, will allow residents to interview the two candidates just weeks prior to the general election on Nov. 6.
Moreno, who led in the June primary, has worked as a council representative for current District 8 Councilmember David Alvarez for the past eight years. Martinez is a San Ysidro school board member. The district stretches from Barrio Logan to the Mexican border.
The event is scheduled from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church at 29 32nd Street in Logan Heights.
