A report in the New York Post has fanned long-standing rumors that President Obama and the First Lady have purchased a home in an exclusive golf community in Rancho Mirage.
The Thunderbird Heights neighborhood was once home to President Gerald Ford, actress Lucille Ball and singer Bing Crosby, and personal friends of the Obamas live there. Realtor.com lists homes in the $3 million to $5 million range in the Coachella Valley community.
The Desert Sun newspaper quoted Coldwell Banker Realtor John Nelson as saying,”It’s all rumors.”
The White House declined to comment to the media about a possible home purchase.
The rumors began in the summer of 2014, when the president and First Lady spent a June weekend in Thunderbird Heights.
