San Diego County Deputy District Attorney Tia Quick has been selected statewide “Prosecutor of the Year” by the California Narcotics Officers’ Association, it was announced Monday.

Quick, who has been a prosecutor with the San Diego County District Attorney’s Office for more than 24 years, was honored over the weekend at the 52nd annual Training Institute and Law Enforcement Exposition in San Diego.

The award was established to identify, recognize and honor prosecutors throughout California who are committed to the strong enforcement of narcotic laws.

“Deputy DA Quick is well deserving of this statewide honor,” said District Attorney Bonnie Dumanis. “Her work as a liaison to law enforcement is a critical component of the criminal justice system that assists police officers as they investigate and ultimately strengthens our cases.”

As the office’s law enforcement liaison to the San Diego Police Department, Quick’s work has included reviewing more than 10,000 search warrants.
