Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders will hold a rally in Mission Valley Sunday afternoon, two days before the California primary brings his last chance to prevent rival Hillary Clinton from clinching the Democratic nomination.

The rally will take place in the parking lot of Qualcomm Stadium, where the gates will open at 3 p.m., according to his campaign.

Several bands are scheduled to perform, and comic George Lopez and political activist Cornel West are scheduled to speak.

Sanders previously spoke to an estimated 12,000 people in March at the San Diego Convention Center and made appearances last month in National City and Vista.

Despite trailing Clinton by a wide margin in the Democratic delegate count, he’s kept up a hectic campaigning pace in California in advance of Tuesday’s election.

The event is free, but his campaign suggests those planning to go to RSVP at berniesanders.com. They also suggest carpooling or taking the trolley to the stadium.

For security reasons, attendees are asked to only bring small, personal items like keys and cell phones, and not bags. Weapons, sharp objects, chairs, and signs or banners will not be allowed through security.
