Local, state and federal government offices will be closed on Monday in observance of Memorial Day.

In San Diego, the closures include administrative offices, libraries, recreation centers and the Tecolote Nature Center.

Some facilities will be open, including municipal pools from noon to 4 p.m., Chollas Lake, the Mission Trails Regional Park Visitor Center, the Miramar Landfill and municipal golf courses.

Curbside trash pickup will be delayed by one day.

In the county of San Diego, closures will include offices, libraries, animal shelters, and community and teen centers in Fallbrook, Lakeside and Spring Valley.

County-run parks and campgrounds will remain open.

Buses, trains and trolleys operated by the Metropolitan Transit System and North County Transit District will operate on Sunday schedules.

Most MTS express, rapid express and rural bus routes won’t operate because of the holiday. Details are available online at http://www.sdmts.com/schedules-real-time-service-notices/holiday-services.

Users of the MTS Access service and routes served by mini-buses should also monitor the status of a strike by drivers. Employees of First Transit, a company that supplies some drivers to the MTS, walked off the job last week after they couldn’t reach agreement on a new contract.
