Mayor Kevin’s Faulconer’s One San Diego charity is hosting its third community block party on Saturday, this time in Lincoln Park.

The event is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on South Willie James Jones Avenue between Imperial and Franklin Avenues near Lincoln High School

The “Better-a-Block” parties are intended to strengthen relationships between neighborhood residents and civic leaders. Faulconer, his wife Katherine, Police Chief Shelley Zimmerman, Councilwoman Myrtle Cole and other community leaders will be on hand to meet residents.

Corporate sponsor AT&T is providing free food and entertainment. A street mural designed by Lincoln High students will be painted during the event.
