Two day’s before Donald Trump‘s appearance on Saturday Night Live, conservative talk icons Sean Hannity and Laura Ingraham grilled a San Diego border activist, hardly letting him speak about the upcoming event.

Enrique Morones, founder of the Border Angels, a respected San Diego-based group that operates rescue stations for immigrants at risk crossing the border, was invited onto Hannity’s show on Fox News to explain why Trump’s appearance on the NBC comedy show might be offensive to American Hispanics.

As Morones attempted to explain how Trump’s characterization of Mexican immigrants as criminals, drug dealers and rapists might be offensive, Hannity cut him off and turned to Ingram.

“The idea that the United States can have a border is offensive to Enrique,” Ingraham said, to which Morones quickly responded, “Not true.”

Trump’s actual words about Mexican immigrants when he announced his candidacy for president were:

“When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best…They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.”

Activists plan to protest Trump’s appearance on the show and are reportedly calling on cast members to condemn him for his statements and his plan to deport 11 million undocumented immigrants living the the United States.
