Rep. Susan Davis will hold a drawing to give away 50 tickets to her constituents to hear Pope Francis speak to Congress on Sept. 24.
Davis said the tickets are for standing-room-only spots on the west front lawn of the U.S. Capitol where the speech will be telecast. Pope Francis will deliver his speech inside the House chamber.
Winners of the drawing must be constituents of the 53rd Congressional District, pick up their tickets in Washington and make their own travel arrangements.
Davis’ office said demand will likely exceed supply, but interested constituents are encouraged to enter the drawing on the Congresswoman’s website at susandavis.house.gov. The deadline to enter is Aug. 18 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific time.
Constituents will be selected at random and winners will be announced Aug. 24.
