Set for 3 p.m. at the County Administration Center, the event will be shown live on our Twitter account — @timesofsandiego — via the new video-streaming Periscope app.

Roberts, representing the 3rd District, has been accused by a former office assistant of misuse of public funds and an “inappropriate relationship” with a county-paid chauffeur that amounts to an extramarital affair.

Diane Porter, the accuser, also alleges in a $250,000 claim against the county that Roberts created a “hostile” work environment that drove her to resign — along with three others in recent weeks.

Gartner says he will address Porter’s accusations as well as reports that Roberts is facing a criminal investigation by District Attorney Bonnie Dumanis’ office.
