Freeway closures scheduled this week on both sides of Interstate 805 between East Plaza Boulevard and State Route 54 for installation of temporary concrete safety barriers have been cancelled and will be rescheduled in early 2015, Caltrans said.
The work is part of the first phase of the I-805 South Express Lanes Project, a $1.1 billion effort to create a modern, new transportation backbone that will meet the future needs of regional travelers. When finished, the project will offer new transportation choices, relieve traffic congestion and improve the quality of life.
