Former Secretary of State and possible Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton was briefly heckled by a man with a bullhorn while speaking to a national conference of pediatricians in San Diego.

“There are some people who miss important developmental stages,” she quipped after the man was removed, drawing sustained applause from the 3,000 doctors in attendance.

Clinton spoke to the annual convention of the American Academy of Pediatrics, which is meeting through Tuesday at the San Diego Convention Center.

She used the 30-minute speech to promote early literacy and affordable health care.

“I think I speak for every grandparent and parent in American when I say thank you…thank you for what you do for our children,” she told the doctors.

Clinton became a grandmother last month when her daughter Chelsea gave birth to a baby girl, Charlotte Clinton Mezvinsky.
