Newly-elected San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer’s campaign team received a number of “Pollie Awards” at the American Association of Political Consultants‘ annual convention in San Diego.
The Pollie Awards recognize excellence in the political-consulting industry. San Diego became the largest city with a Republican mayor in February when Faulconer overcame a Democratic numerical advantage to win the election.
Revolvis Consulting, which has offices in San Diego, Sacramento, Seattle and Washington, took home a gold Pollie for a television ad produced for Prop. 20-213 in Lane, Oregon, plus a silver Pollie for the mail piece, “Proven Record,” produced for Faulconer for Mayor.
Former Revolvis partner Steven Puetz was named “Local Campaign Manager of the Year” for his work as manager for Faulconer.
Ryan Clumpner, who produced mail for the Lincoln Club of San Diego, won a gold Pollie for a mail piece titled “Deception” in the “Shoulda, Woulda, Coulda” category of best piece never sent. Clumpner also took a bronze Pollie for “Best Use of Negative/Contrast,” bronze for “Best Use of Bilingual/Multilingual,” and a silver for best mail in an Independent Expenditure Campaign.
