The readership was local, youthful and mobile.
Readers in the City of San Diego accounted for 42 percent of sessions, with those elsewhere in San Diego County representing another 21 percent and readers elsewhere in Southern California adding another 6 percent. The balance of 31 percent was national and even international.
The 25-34 age group was the largest reader segment at 22 percent of reading sessions. Readers aged 54 and under accounted for 68 percent of sessions, making Times of San Diego’s audience considerably younger than that for newspapers and television.
Smartphones were used for 36 percent of sessions, and tablets for 16 percent, with the reminder, or 48 percent, on desktop and laptop computers.
