Hello, Navajo and College Area!
Did you see pesticide trucks out in the early morning this week?
After mosquitoes in the area tested positive for West Nile, San Diego County’s Vector Control Program carried out pesticide-misting treatments in neighborhoods across San Diego and La Mesa.
Trucks sprayed a pesticide officials say is low risk for people, pets and the environment.
You can reduce mosquito risks by cleaning up standing water and using insect repellent. You can also request an inspection or report unmaintained potential mosquito-breeding grounds to the Vector Control Program.
