
Three people, including a 6-year-old girl, sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries in a collision Friday in the Mission Valley East area of San Diego.
The collision occurred at approximately 1:50 p.m. Friday when a 2009 Infinity G37 driven by an 18-year-old man, heading westbound in the 3200 block of Camino Del Rio North, near Mission City Parkway, crossed over the solid double-yellow lines and into the eastbound lanes moments before colliding with a 2011 Chevrolet Camaro, injuring the 35-year-old female driver and a 6-year- old female passenger, according to the San Diego Police Department.
The woman was taken to a hospital for treatment after suffering a fractured thigh bone, while the child was evaluated and treated for a broken shoulder.
The 18-year-old driver of the Infinity suffered a fractured thigh bone and a lacerated spleen, police said.
Alcohol was not considered a determining factor leading to the collision, as SDPD Traffic Division detectives continued an ongoing investigation Friday evening.
