Today’s newsletter is presented by Wild Fork.

Hello, Pacific and Mission Beach!

Have you checked out the new Wild Fork Foods store yet? After what felt like years of development, the specialty meat store is finally open at 1701 Garnet Avenue.

This is Wild Fork’s twelfth location in California, spanning the southern coast. When I popped into the store, I discovered aisles and aisles of frozen meats and interesting seasonings, plus all the essentials for a good cook. And I was pleasantly surprised to see low prices, while other stores seem to keep getting more expensive.

“We have over 500 meat and seafood items – anything you’d want from around the world,” said Marsha Green, Wild Fork’s marketing manager for the West Coast. “We don’t do coupons, because we’re already priced lower than Costco.”

Everything in the store is antibiotic and hormone free, making the selection and prices even more enticing.

Wild Fork is also investing in the Pacific Beach community, hosting fundraisers with local schools and monthly “Grill and Learn” events at the store. The Pacific Beach location will host its grand opening on November 7 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., a free-to-attend party with raffles, DJs, prizes and freshly grilled samples. “We’ll be feeding people all day,” said Green. ‘We love to feed our community and give back.”

For a neighborhood that’s protein-maxxing, this store is a dream. You can learn more about the store at Wild Fork’s social media or check out their monthly events on Eventbrite.

Welcome to the neighborhood!
