Woof or meow!
Starting Friday and continuing through Veterans Day on Monday, active-duty and veteran military families in San Diego are invited to meet fuzzy recruits at Helen Woodward Animal Center.
Thanks to the generosity of the Animals for Armed Forces Foundation, the center is offering sponsored pet adoptions to thank military members and their families for their service.
Adoption fees will be covered through Veterans Day weekend for approved adopters while supplies last.
The Animals for Armed Forces Foundation is a Southern California non-profit, and along with the Helen Woodward Animal Center, recognizes the healing power animals can have, including for the military community.
