Silent since 2019, the Blue Angels at MCAS Miramar thrilled hundreds of thousands this weekend with thunderous fly-bys. The air show was back.
Pandemic mostly in the rearview mirror, Sunday’s show was held in warm conditions — mid-80s— but with a cooling breeze. Children delighted to check out military vehicles and hold heavy weaponry. They tried on fire-rescue gear while their parents took pictures.
People found shade anywhere they could — under airplane wings and next to food trucks.
