New episodes of the popular TV series “The Last Ship” were filmed recently aboard a guided-missile destroyer at Naval Base San Diego.

The Navy tweeted a photo on Saturday of what it described as a “week-long filming” for the series, but provided no additional information, including which ship was the backdrop. The USS Halsey and the USS Dewey have been used in the past.

The fourth season of the  apocalyptic TNT series begins Aug. 20 with a two-hour premiere.

The premise of the series is that a global pandemic has killed most of the world’s population, leaving only the crew  of a lone Arleigh Burke-class destroyer — the fictional USS Nathan James — to find a cure and save humanity.
